one play....parlayed silva and ricardo arona laying 1.5 to get a little over 1 in return......

it`s not exactly a bold move, but, some think lister has a very live chance vs arona.....i`ve seen arona a few times and he`s a very strong guy....royler likes him...that`s a good thing..if i can find odds on who wins the tourney,i`d think a very small play on arona would be worth a longshot wager...

i am a fan of igor vovchanchyn....the guy usually fights the heavy`s....he is a brutal striker....at 205,he could be a tough nut to crack....

i`d be surprised if silva wets the bed after the disputed hunt loss...

i have to be honest...this card is a very tough one to handicap,imo.....some very competitive bouts....

well worth watching...worth paying for....with elder/diaz off the ppv,i`d honestly rather watch pride....even though it`s still not a horrible ppv....cintron/margarito could be a classic...and the shane mosley bout has me curious...

that`s says something coming from a rabid boxing guy like myself....i`m becoming a huge mma follower...

Nakamura/Randleman
No real opinion. Kevin is just too inconsistent, never fights a smart fight. Can't call it.

Arona OV Lister
I'm not sure who's backing Lister, but they're insane. On his best day, he'd still be outmatched by Arona. Saturday, he'll be outweighed by up to 35 lbs. and couldn't possibly peak at the right time following his fight with Shoji earlier this month.

Vovchanchin OV Kondo
Igor is years past his prime, and even at 205, he's going to be outclassed before too long. But Kondo is just as washed up. He will not be able to stand with Igor and doesn't have the horsepower to control him on the mat.

Belfort OV Overeem
Belfort's lack of a training camp concerns me, but he's been nomadic before. As I stated on the other thread, Vitor tends to drop the big fights, but usually performs well enough against the mid-card types. Overeem is very dangerous, but I doubt he'll be the first to KO Vitor and he doesn't have the wrestling ability to control him on the ground.

Henderson OV Nogueira
Tough fight to call, and not one I'd bet. Hendo went into the third round with Nog's bigger, better brother not too long ago, so he should be able to handle Rogerio without incident. But Hendo could gas with two minutes to go, and a flurry by lil' Nog could steal the fight. Pride's judging is wacky like that - they don't score rounds.

Sakuraba OV Sik
Sak is basically done, but Sik has zero MMA experience and is essentially showing up to guarantee Saku's admission into the semifinals.

Jackson OV Rua
See other thread. Jackson is ready to go and won't resemble the plodding, tired fighter he was last time around. Shogun hasn't fought anyone worthwhile and won.

Silva OV Yoshida
Rather pointless rematch. Look for Silva to stop Yoshida this time around. Yoshida is getting an absolute fortune for this fight.

I like Jackson @ -140 and Belfort @ -110 the most. Everyone else is just too much chalk or too closely matched.

Ugh - I swore off Pride before, but this time I'm going to have to mean it.

Jackson looked like he just woke from a coma. Belfort couldn't be bothered, either. Two guys who beat themselves long before they ever got in the ring.
